Chrome Delete in Tampa, FL
Blacked-out window trim, grilles and badges installed with knifeless tape — zero blade contact with your paint.
About Chrome Delete
Chrome delete is the fastest aesthetic upgrade for any car. Half a day in the shop and a $5,000-look factory blackout package — without actually paying $5,000 for the M Sport / S-Line trim.
The knifeless tape standard
We use knifeless tape on every trim piece. The cut happens BENEATH the new film via a fiber filament — there's no razor blade against your paint or against the chrome itself. That's how the install never leaves scratches under the wrap.
Shops that cut against the body with a razor (most of them) eventually scratch through the clear coat. You won't see it until the wrap is removed — but it's there.

What we typically blackout (and what we don't)
Standard package: window trim (all four windows and rear quarter), kidney grille surround or front grille brightwork, lower window chrome line, exhaust tips (sometimes — chrome-delete film survives heat from straight pipes; not survives glowing manifolds).
We don't recommend wrapping mirror caps or door handles in the same install — those panels move and flex in ways trim doesn't, and they're better served by full mirror caps and handle wraps as a separate item.

How long it lasts in Tampa weather
Chrome delete uses the same cast film as a full wrap. In Tampa: 5–7 years on most trim, sometimes longer on garage-kept cars. UV is the main factor and the wax-line area below the window trim sees the most thermal cycling.

Frequently Asked Questions
- How long does chrome delete take?
- Most cars: 3–5 hours. Larger SUVs with more trim: full day. We can usually book same-week and you wait in our showroom if you want.
- Can I get the chrome back later?
- Yes — clean film removal leaves the chrome underneath untouched. We've removed our own installs years later for owners selling cars or wanting factory look back.
- What about gloss black trim instead of matte?
- Both are available — gloss is more popular on modern German cars (matches M Sport / AMG trim), matte is more popular on trucks and SUVs.
- Do you only do exterior chrome or interior too?
- We do interior brightwork as well — door-card chrome strips, dash trim, shifter surrounds. Different film line (lower-temp adhesive for interior) but same install approach.
